There are very few places on earth where
it is so easy to see so much wildlife at close quarters
as in the Pantanal, which occupies an arguably unique
ecological niche as an unparalleled biogenetic reservoir.
The great expanse of swampland in Western Brazil is home
to the greatest concentration of fauna in the New World
and is perhaps the most exquisite gallery of all for
observing
Brazilian fauna. So great is Pantanal’s biodiversity
that UNESCO has even named it as a World Heritage Site.
It is home to more than 600 species of birds, 350 kinds
of fish and an abundance of reptiles. Many of these
are
also found in the Amazon, but seeing them there is
much more difficult because of the dense forest cover.
These lodges offer various packages and tours, as several days are recommended to take advantage of being in the Pantanal.

Laura We had a great trip. Many thanks for all of your hard work in making things run so smoothly. All of the arrangements worked really well. In particular, we enjoyed the Beluga trip and our stay at La Mirage, although our shopping contributed rather more to the Ecuador economy than was good for our bank balances. Again, to ensure I give the right message, the trip was great and your arrangements were flawless. I'd have no hesitation in asking for your help in future--so please........ Alan G, Other
